In order to meet the ever-expanding demand, the import value of the European electric bicycle market has increased by one-third, but the market conditions in various countries within Europe are slightly different. The European electric bicycle market is dominated by Germany, France and Italy, and the number of bicycles in the Netherlands is even higher. Topping the list, there are other countries that have also played an important role in the development of the European bicycle industry.

Italy: Bicycle market keeps growing

The overall sales volume of e-cargo is very small, but the sales volume is twice that of last year.

In addition, cargo bikes are also experiencing rapid growth, reaching 213,000 units by 2022, an increase of 27.4%. This situation has triggered public discussions on cycling culture and promoted the construction of related infrastructure.
